Large-scale Moscow's Strikes Cut Power Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have come under increased strikes in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have caused power cuts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were wounded while residents in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and faced problems to water systems, according to city officials.

Simultaneously, a young boy was killed in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, according to area administrators.

Moscow has intensified assaults on energy facilities over recent weeks, while officials has demanded "real steps" from international partners to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the United States, the EU and the major economies - in supplying defensive weapons and enforcing restrictions," was stated in a public message.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty rockets attacked energy facilities, labeling such attacks as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were laboring to restore power.

A wave of strikes hit energy infrastructure and apartment buildings in the capital.

Multiple people injured in the attacks on the city have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by local officials.

Local officials said the city came under heavy assaults throughout the evening. A minor lost their life and several individuals were wounded.

The assaults follow evenings of air raids in the region, parts of which are occupied by invading troops.

All of Ukraine is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to detect.

National leaders told reporters that Russia was purposely seeking to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already disrupting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and government agencies were anticipating further attacks.
